Ranthambore wins on drama and convenience — tigers among ancient ruins and lakes, easily combined with the Taj Mahal and Rajasthan. Bandhavgarh often edges ahead on raw sighting density within a smaller, forested core.
If culture and scenery matter as much as tigers, lean Ranthambore. If maximising time with tigers in classic forest is the goal, Bandhavgarh is hard to beat. Many travellers, of course, choose to experience both.
